AVID CNC All in One Laser Mounting Kit Bundle

After you checked out how to upgrade your CNC, simply choose your options below. Here are some details on them.
1. Pick your Laser Wattage:
There are 5 wattage levels to choose from ( 7W+, Dual PRO 14W SI, 24W Quad PRO , 44W OCTO PRO or the new 64W PRO 3-in-1). Most customers go with the highest power they can afford. The lower power has a lower price, but will take longer to do the same burn level in an engraving. The 7W+ laser is made for engraving fine detail, the Dual Pro 14W SI laser be for faster engraving. The 24W Quad Pro and 44W Octo Pro will be good for cutting and engraving and the 64W PRO will be the best for cutting and fastest at engraving.
2. Choose your mount configuration
There are four options to mount your laser to your machine.
A. Spindle/Chuck mounted laser. This option has the laser fit into the chuck of the spindle. No extra mounting needed. Make sure you have enough clearance for the laser on your machine.
B. Bottom of an 80mm spindle. You will need to make sure you have enough room on the bottom of your spindle to accommodate the laser.
A. DeWalt Router holder in the front. If you have the Dewalt router mount for the AVID, then you can use this mount for the laser. Not Available with the 44W Metal version.
C. The Makita and DeWalt clamp mounts fit onto the bottom of the router. Just make sure you router is pushed all the way down.
D. Generic Magnet Mounting plate. You can put this plate in front of your spindle or next to it on your Z gantry. Just fabricate a plate to put the magnet mount so it sits above the chuck when there is no laser on it and below the chuck when there is a laser on it.
3. Laser and Fan Extension Cable Length:
These laser and fan extension cables allow for longer distances from the laser driver to the laser. If you machine is large and you don’t want to mount the driver on the gantry, then these cables will allow for longer distances between the driver and the laser. This distance adds to the already 3′ laser and fan cable that comes standard.
Cable is 18 AWG with Molex Mini fit Jr. connectors on each side.
Lengths are 5′, 10′, 15′, 20 and 25′.
For the 4′ x 8′ AVID CNC machines, you will most likely need the 25′ extension cables.
4. Choose Your Power Cord:
We have options for U.S. (North America), UK (United Kingdom), EU (European Union), and AU (Australia).
The standard kit comes with:
- AVID IDC 26 Breakout board. This board is specifically designed to allow for easy connection to the controller.
- Laser Head with Magnetic Mount
- Laser Shroud or Magnet Base Plate
- Safety Interface Board
- Power Cord
- Laser Safety Goggles for 445nm Lasers
- Laser Quick Connect Magnet Mount (*Metal mount for the 44W Laser)
- 3 foot Mini Molex Jr. Input Cable
- Mounting Screws
- Driver Mounting Sticky Squares
- Laser Extension Cables
- Zip Ties and Zip Tie Holders
Air Assist Option:
The 64W, 44W and 24w laser comes with the integrated air assist nozzle, hose, and risers. Pump not included. 50W Aquarium Pump for Cutting

Features:
We still have all of the features that make this laser kit awesome – precision laser trimmed regulators for constant current to the laser, 0.01 tuning resolution, digital isolation, soft start, esd protection, current limiting, and the list goes on. But NOW we have more safety in mind as well! The US Federal Government has a list of things that are required for operating these high power class 4 lasers. They might seem trivial, but they could save your eyesight! Here is a run down of the new safety features to protect yourself and others:
- Key Switch – This key is needed to enable the laser. When the key switch is turned on, the laser is enabled and the key CANNOT come out. You can only remove the key when it is disabled. This feature is good if you have curious children or have your laser in a shared area and want to limit use. Just take the key out and hide it!
- Remote Interlocks – This feature allows for addition of switches to your enclosure so when it is open, the laser will automatically turn off. Also provides for the addition of an E Stop button for the laser, which is always good for if you need to stop the laser super quick! Add as many switches as you want to make a super safe area for your laser machine so nobody can accidentally look into the laser.
- Power Fault Protection – This one may seem like it is not needed, but hear us out. Consider your power goes out in your area where the laser is located. You were running your program and then everything is dark… Power doesn’t come back on for awhile… long enough for you to forget that the laser was left ON! You come back and are checking your laser and boom, the power is back on, right when you are looking straight at it. Well, don’t worry because the laser will be disabled whenever the power to the driver is lost. Press the reset button and you are back in action!
- Emission Indicator – The small little LED on the front to let you know your really super bright laser is on… They require this in case you are using an infrared invisible laser.
